Current problems concerning protection of seed plantations of clover, sainfoin and bird's foot trefoil against some pests are discussed. The biology of less known species, such as the white clover seed weevil developing in white clover pods (Miccotrogus picirostris) and the sainfoin flower weevil (Apion reflexum) was also presented.The article also discussed many agrotechnical methods used in agricultural practice and decreasing pest populations to the level not dangerous to crops
