Glucosinolates and their metabolism in oilseed rape in in vitro culture and in vivo
1992
Drozdowska, L.
Investigations were performed on three oilseed rape varieties: "Jet Neuf" - a variety of a high-glucosinolate oilseed rape and "Jantar" and "Bolko" - a double improved varieties. Regenerative abilities of cotyledons, tips of seedlings shoots and siliques of oilseed rape varieties differing in glucosinolate content were determined. In differentiating seedling explants and in maturing in vitro siliques, factors affecting the glucosinolate metabolism, and correlation between glucosinolate content and the glucosinolate hydrolysing enzyme-myrosinase were studied. The investigations of the glucosinolate metabolism in "in vitro" culture were supplemented with studies on oilseed rape cultivated under field conditions
