[Spread of Leptospira interrogans in humans, domestic and wild animals in the world except Europe]

A survey of the spread of L. interrogans serotypes in humans, domestic and wild animals in America, Africa, Asia and australia is presented. The largest number of serotypes has been determind (21) in Leptospirosis in cattle. Leptospirosis in sheep has been found with (16), in goats (15), in humans (13), in swine (12), in dogs and cats (11), in horses (7) and in wild animals (5) serotypes. Domestic and wild animals are sources of infection and reservoir of Grippotyphosa and Pomona and Icterohaemorrhagiae for human and domestic animals and Ballum for domestic animals and Autumnalis for all domestic animals except goats.
