1987
Nopphawan Thongrot
Effects of nitrogen and GA3 on growth and runner production of 'Tangi' strawberry were studied at Horticulture field II, Kasetsart University during July 19, 1985 to November 19, 1985. Three rates of nitrogen were 0, 100 and 200 ppm. and three rates of GA3 were 0, 50 and 100 ppm. The experimental design was factorial in completely randomized design with 9 treatment combinations. The results showed that N 200 ppm. gave plants weight, number of leaves, leaves size, number of runners and number of runner plants more than N 100 and 0 ppm. Sprays GA3 50 and 100 ppm. gave higher number of runners but lower number of leaves and leaves size than no spray. No significantly different effect between GA3 50 and 100 ppm. A GA3 spray of 50 ppm. combined with 200 ppm. N gave the highest runners and runner plants.
