By facilitating constant economic appraisal, Farm and Home Management enables the identification by extension of important problems which are associated with particular aspects of the farm business. These problems could then be passed by extension to researchers, thus allowing extension to be linked directly to research. Feasible technology could be disseminated to farmers by extension via their Farm and Home Management Programme.
