1988
Thaveesak Sangudom
Using of different kinds of bagging materials on quality to 'Loose Perlette' and 'Beauty Seedless' fruit clusters was conducted at Doi Inthanon and Hauy Luek, Royal Project, Chiang Mai Province during June 27 to July 23, 1987. On Loose Perlette variety, the covering with newspaper bag significantly reduced berry cracking, berry rotting and increased TSS when compared to the untreated. The newspaper bag tended to decrease TA and increase TSS:TA. In Beauty Seedless variety the covering with white-plastic bag significantly reduced berry cracking and rotting. The untreated gave the highest berry cracking and rotting. The covering with clear-plastic bag tended to increase TSS, TSS:TA and decrease TA. The size of cluster, weight of berry, chlorophyll content and anthocyanin content were not affected by the different kinds of bagging materials and the untreated in both varieties.
