The aim of the paper was to determine the degree of separation of soil impurities at sugar beet and the effect of instantaneous moisture of soil impurities as well as of the percentage of total impurities upon the degree of their separation. The machine was investigated on various soil types, at various instantaneous moisture contents of soil impurities (23.371 - 38.47) and at various durations of root storing (0, 10 and 14 days). The important conclusion is: the average percentage of impurity separation is 67.27 out of the total amount of soil impurities.
