It can be concluded on the basis of the results of these investigations that the smallest risk in the first phase of hybridization is in calf production if Siemental heifers are crossed with Limousin bulls and Hereford heifers with Siemental bulls. The biggest risk regarding higher loss in calving and frequency of difficult calvings is expected if Siemental heifers are crossed with Charolais and Blond Aquitane bulls, and it can occur in later three-breed and four-breed hybrids.
