The measure of farm size: A review of the literature

The purpose of this paper is to present and discuss the main approaches to the problem of measuring farm size by different authors. In spite of the fact that there is no strong theoretical reason for preferring on single input at the basis of measurement and classification for sizes of farms area often proves to be an acceptable measure.
