The objective was to molecularly clone the triple RNS of domestic isolates /one each/ of 2 cucumoviruses /cucumber mosaic virus = CMV and tomato aspermy virus = TAV/ on which the genes that play a primary role in the local and systemic spread of the virus are located, and to determine their entire primary structure. The triple RNS of both viruses was isolated with a subsequent cloning after polyadenilation. Clones with an approximately equal longitude were selected, with a subsequent determination of their nucleic acid order. These first Hungarian data about the sequence were compared with the primary structure of already known foreign isolates. Analogy was found to be 98 % for CMV and 99 % for TAV, resp.
