Effect of nitrogen fertilizer and planting dates on yield and quality of cabbage

This experiment was conducted to study the effect of four levels of nitrogen fertilizer as urea at rate of 0, 25, 50 and 75 kg N/Donum and three planting dates (15th July, 1st August and 15th August). It was found that the application of 50 or 75 kg N/Donum or planting on 15th July gave significantly higher early yield, total yield, head weight, and head diameter as compared with the control plants. The control plants at the last planting date, i.e. 15 August gave the lowest early yield, total yield, head weight and head diameter at both locations
