The effect of sowing date and planting rate on agronomic characteristics of triticale under limited rainfall conditions

Three sowing dates and three planting rate of 80, 160 and 240kg/ha were used with the triticale. The planting rate of 240kg/ha gave the highest yield and the highest biological yield for the two seasons, respectively. Planting triticale during November gave the highest grain yield, biological yield, harvest index, number of heads/m2 and kernels/head
