Fourty five Awassi lambs after weaning were assigned into five groups of 9 lambs each, with an average initial weight 22.88, 22.26, 23.11, 23.00 and 22.94 Kg respectively. Groups of lambs were fed on barley with 10 wheat straw in group A, 10 sawdust in group B, 10 or 20 poultry litter in group C and D and barley supplemented with sodium bicarbonate in group E. Results show no significant effect on final body weight, warm carcass weight and longissimus dorsi muscle. Results also indicated a positive significant (p0.05) effect on daily gain and dressing percentage for groups C, D and E
