Soil acidification and K level influence on yield of oats and chemical composition of plant and soil

A 3-year long vegetation experiment on soils with pH in the range of 3.8-6.0 carried out to investigate the influence of increased doses of K on the yield of oats and on soil chemical composition is described. It is pointed out that the highest yields were obtained on soils with a higher K content and a higher pH level. The effectivity of K was essentially increased by reducing soil acidity. The use of K fertilizers increased K concentration in the soil. The experimental data are shown in tables
