Effectiveness of feed utilization in dairy cattle rearing

Basing on observations and available literature and statistical data, the changes in effectiveness of utilization of basic feeds used in dairy cows feeding were investigated. The level of agricultural development was characterized with the use of synthetic index of technological level. The carried out analysis points out that along with the increase in level of agricultural development one can expect reduction in feeds consumption needed for the production of 1 ton of milk, as well as reduction in the arable land area occupied by cultivation of analysed feeds, needed to obtain 1 ton of milk
