Some problems of optimization of green crops drying process in a rotary drier

An optimization problem with two different quality indexes of green crop drying process in a rotary drier was stated. Series of computer simulations were carried out to predict air and dried material temperature, air and dried material moisture content, a unit heat consumption used for dehydration and efficiency of drier in the function of drum length. It was found that for M-829 drier the minimal unit moisture consumption is 6.58 MJ/kg H2O and optimal drum length is 7.25 m while the inlet air temperature is 700 degrees C and green humidity is 70 percent
