Effect of the growing methods on yield of fruits and content of mineral elements in leaf petioles of greenhouse tomato plants [Comp.]
1994
Biesiada, A.
Long term growing of tomatoes in non fumigated greenhouse soil by using transplants grafted on KVFNTm rootstock delayed the fruit ripening by 5-14 days, but was the most favourable for the marketable yield and during the spring season for the crop quality expressed by the mean weight of fruit. Plants cultivated by subirrigation method produced the highest early crop in spring and was superior to the growing on straw bales of wheat for the marketable yield of fruit in both compared cycles of production. Grafting tomatoes on resistant rootstock was preferable for the content of NO3-N, Ca and Mg in indicative parts of plants during the early growth stages in the greenhouse
