The experiment was laid out in system "split-plot". There was examined the in fluence of row spacing (20 and 35 cm) as well as different quantities of seeds sown (40, 55, 70, 85 and 100 seeds per 1 sq. m) on the development and yielding of field bean. The number of seeds increased from 40 to 100 per 1 sq. m brought about shortening of the growing and flowering period by 2 to 4 days as well as decrease in the numerical values of morphological traits exerting influence on yielding. With soil conditions proper to field bean, however with insufficient amount of precipitation, the sowing density of 70 plants per 1 sq. m appeared sufficient for the Tibo cultivar
