Yielding and quality of hybrid lucerne depending on fertilization and the number of cuts in a year

In a field experiment realized with a split-plot method, the influence of 3 levels of phosphorus-potassium fertilizations was studied, as well as that 3 and 4-cut crop in a year, on the yield of green and dry matter and crude protein, fibre and macroelements contents in hybrid lucerne, the Boja variety. Varying fertilization with P and K did not differentiate the yields of the lucerne considerably. High fertilization greatly increased the K content and lowered the Ca share in plants. No statistically proved difference in green and dry matter yields of crude protein between the crops of the 3rd and 4th-cut was ever noted. The lucerne used with 4-cuts was characterized by higher mean content of crude protein, weighed in the years and the cuts
