Analysis of genetic and phenotypic trends of conformation traits in Wielkopolski horse

A total of 1024 stallions and 2319 mares were estimated. Positive and highly significant phenotypic trends for wither height, chest circumference and cannon circumference within both sexes were established. A negative, highly significant phenotypic trend for cannon index was stated. A positive and highly significant genetic trends for wither height and chest circumference was observed
