The present study was undertaken to investigate the effect of BAP on embryoids formation and development and the anatomical studies of embryoids, were also studied. The best medium for in vitro shoot tips growth, was MS medium containing 1ppm KN +5ppm BAP + 0.5ppm IAA. Embryogenesis occurred in Annona cherimolia without the addition of any auxin in contrast to most of the species necessitating the presence of 2,4-D in the proliferation medium. Subculture of the explants was very important for the rapid appearance of embryoids on the surface of the shoots while the best development of shoots from embryogenesis was observed in 1ppm BAP.
