It was found that in 24 hours of growth in media LB the strain Bacillus thuringiensis (BT) subsp. morrisoni 407 produces an extracellular factor that inhibits sporulation of strain Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. israelensis 1-5, subsp. thuringiensis HD-2, Bacillus subtilis 366 in yeast-polysaccharyde (YPM) and LB media. This factor increases the production of beta-exotoxin by strain HD-2 either and is resistant to proteolytic action heat treatment. Inhibiting factor purified by gel filtration on Sephadex G-50 (MW 7-8 kDa) causes 1000 fold decrease of sporulation of strain 1-5, and in a concentrate of the initial cultural fluid 100 fold decrease
