Laboratory experiments have shown that changes in salt-ionic composition of the calcareous chernozem induce, first of all, the disintegration of coarse microaggregates (0.01 mm), while the amount of non-aggregated particles (0.001 mm) did not reliably increase. The combined effect of SAR and specific electric conductivity of soil solution seems to be especially important for the microstructure breakdown. The dispergating effect of magnesium was evident only in case of its predominance in the sum of bivalent cations ( 60 - 70 %). Changes in ionic-salt composition alongside with moist soil mechanical mixing contribute to more advanced destruction of initial soil microstructure
