Long-term study of the effect of different fertilization systems on the content of some macronutrients and micronutrients

Application of different fertilization systems on chernozem soil in field trials conducted for 12 to 26 years affected change of macronutrient more than micronutrient content. In systems with organic matter added, total nitrogen increased, in contrast to systems with mineral fertilizers. Nitrogen content found in soils taken from unfertilized plots was significantly lower than that found in soils taken from different fertilization systems. The natural potential of chernozem for available phosphorus decreased under conditions of all fertilization systems. More available potassium was found in soils with manure plown under, liquid manuring, and harvest residues than in soils fertilized with mineral fertilizers only. Significant increase of Zn was found with manuring and liquid manuring.
