Comparative analysis of energy consumption during drying process in stagnant, fluidized and vibro-fluidized bed of particles

It is found that from the energy consumption viewpoint drying process in stagnant bed is most convenient, process in a vibro-fluidized bed is less favourable, and process in fluidized bed is most inviolable. In the case of specific materials (stickiness or thermoplasticity of particles, pasty properties) which are difficult or impossible to dry in a stagnant bed, it is obvious that from energy consumption standpoint in deciding between fluidized or vibro-fluidized bed, a process in a vibro-fluidized bed is more convenient. One must also pay attention to the investment costs.
