The objective this investigation was to study the effect of nodular bacteria Rhizobium leguminosarum and Rhizobium phaseoli on the number of nitrogen fixing bacteria and actinomycetes in the rhizosphere of peas and green beans and on the content of nitrogen in plants. According to the average results, nodulation was good regardless bacterization. The number of bacteria was significantly higher in both plant species in the rhizosphere of the inoculated plants; the number of actinomycetes was higher only in the rhizosphere of peas. Nitrogen content in inoculated plants and in peas was higher than in non-inoculated plants and in green beans, respectively.
