Exploration a few problems of dry characteristics and technology of elm timber

This paper describes the properties and technology condition of artificial drying of Ulmus propinqua, U. laciniata, U. macrocarpa wood. The result shows that the drying defects are due to the higher moisture content, the bigger dry shrinkage percentage and uniform structure. The measurements of drying technology have been applied in order to prevent the drying defect and to promote the drying quality
