The induction of adventitious buds on Dionaea and Drosera leaf segments was investigated. The best result was obtained with the use of 0.05 mg/l kinetin and 20-30 g/l saccharose. On average, the 20 g/l sugar concentration proved to be more economical. In most cases the basal medium with a low salt concentration was more effective. Synthetic dies had a retarding effect, while potassium humate had a stimulating effect on plant growth in vitro
