The purpose of this study is to develop a system which can measure the state of rice nourishment in two dimensional distribution on actual rice fields. Image processing was applied to this system and used to measure the color of rice leaves. The images from the height of man's eyes were taken by a video camera and processed for the purpose of actual use by farmers. In this report, the correlation between chlorophyll content of the rice leaves and the result of image processing was examined. As the result of this experiment, it was found that the chlorophyll content of rice leaves correlated with density values of Red and Green, and intensity value Y
