1993
Kawabata, A. (Tohoku National Fisheries Research Inst., Shiogama, Miyagi (Japan))
Planktonic larvae of the genus Luciogobius were collected with ring-nets from June to September 1989 in Onagawa Bay, Miyagi Prefecture. Collected larvae were of 3 species: L. guttatus, L. elongatus and L. parvulus. Adults of these species live in the intertidal zone where they lay their egg masses between stones. The largest number of individuals collected in Onagawa Bay L. guttatus and the smallest number was L. parvulus. L. guttatus occurred most abundantly in July and L. elongatus occurred in August. The distribution of L. guttatus was almost over the whole area of Onagawa Bay and its larvae with growth seem to migrate from shoal areas to the center of inner part of Bay. L. elongatus was almost restricted to shoal area in inner part of Bay
