The paper focuses on the existing farming systems in marginal farmers in the Manupali Watershed in Lantapan, Bukidnon [Philippines] particularly in the corn-based agroecosystem. This also looks into the interdependence between the farming systems components and the interaction of these components with the physical, biological, and socioeconomic environment within the corn-based agroecosystem and other agroecological zones in the watershed. Three villages representing the different farm elevations were studied. Problems, opportunities, potentials and constraints were identified and appropriate interventions are designed particularly on increasing corn productivity, strengthening crop-livestock interaction and enhancing community-based organizations to support FSD
