Investigations were conducted during 1985-87 at agronomic Research Station, Karore (Layyah) to see the effect of sowing date and seeding rate on wheat grain field (cv. Pak81). Treatments were; five sowing dates send October, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th week of November) and three seeding rates (50, 75 and 100 kg/ha). Different sowing dates had significant effect on germination, number of fertile tillers, number of grains per spike and grain yield in both the years. crop sown in 3rd week of November in 1985-86 and last week of October in 1986-87 gave maximum grain yields (5.34 and 5.1 t/ha). Higher grain yields during 1985-86 (5 t/ha) and 1986-87 (4.33 t/ha) were obtained at higher seed rate (100 kg/ha).
