In the strict three-year field experiment the range of the effect of simulated acid rainfall with pH 7.1 (control), 3.8 and 3.2 on the changes of S-SO4 and S total contents in brown soil formed from loess was investigated. The obtained results indicate that the changes of the content of S-SO4 and S total in soil caused by acid rainfall may be helpful at the evaluation of the degree of environment pollution with acid rains
