In field experiments carried out in the years 1991-94 there was tested the influence of fertilization with P and K on the development of plants, yield accretion and yields of 2 potato cultivars grown on 2 soil-agricultural complexes. Differentiated fertilization with P and K was not found to have influenced the development of plants, accumulation of fresh and dry matter of green tops and tubers, contents and accumulation of fertilizing components, quantity of tuber and foliage yields as well as their chemical composition, except for the content of starch whose content in the tubers was significantly increasing under the influence of fertilization with P
