Final report of the seventeenth international rainfed lowland rice observational nursery (17TH IRLON, 1994)

1995

Fifty entries in the 17th IRLON were evaluated at 38 locations in 17 countries. The best performing entries across 26 sites in 10 countries were: IR1042-32-2-1-2, IR4950-21-4-4, IR46 (check), IR43522-37-3-3-3, IR62553-22-3-2, IR52533-52-2-1-2-1-B-2-3, IR57542-218-1-3-3-2, IR62513-62-1-3, IR63429-23-1-3-3. Agronomic data and reactions to drought, diseases and insect pests were analyzed. Entries with best phenotypic acceptability (Pacp) by region and by country were identified. The number of test entries utilized for further testing and hybridization were cited
