1994
Kandera, M. (Vyskumny Ustav Rastlinnej Vyroby, Piestany (Slovakia))
The influence of graduated nitrogen application rates (0 to 150 kg per ha) and application time (before seeding and at the developmental stages F2, F6 and F10 according to Feekes) on the corn yield and qualitative parameters of the crop are given. The conclusion based on the 4 year period results was as follows: the highest average corn yield was achieved after the application of nitrogen in an amount of 40 to 80 % of nitrogen consumption determined from the nitrogen content in the soil and in plants.
