Arthrography of the interphalangeal joints in the camel

Normal radiographic, arthrographic and arthrocentesis in the interphalangeal joints in the camel were described. The dorsal proximal synovial sac in the three interphalangeal joints were accessible for arthrocentesis. The most prominent radiographic anatomy in the interphalangeal joints were included, the articular surface of PI and PII revealed presence of palmar incisure. The distal third of PI and PII distinguished by prominent abaxial articular prominences. The PI is mainly perpendicular to the metacar pal/metatarsal bones. The PII and PIII were almost horizontal in position. Arthrography provides a good delination and ramification of the synovial sacs of the fetlock, pastern and coffin joints. There is no communication between the two fetlock joint cavities. The pastern joint is composed of three synovial sacs.
