1989
Apichard Detpreechar
Factors affecting operation and maintenance (OandM) on farm irrigation are 1) if planted area of sugar cane in dry season (average 3 years) increases the level of OandM cooperation will be improved, 2) if farmers became members of water user cooperative the level of 0andM cooperation will be better, 3) if percentage of flooded area base on total irrigation area is increased then OandM cooperation of farmers will be in the opposite direction, 4) the more land holding (number of plot) the less OandM cooperation, 5) the length of the ditch will have an opposite relationship with the OandM cooperation from the farmers, 6) the more dry season area that farmers could access to water the higher the level of OandM cooperation and 7) the increase in total planted area (both in wet and dry season) will have positive relationship with the level of OandM cooperation.
