Dairy production in Trinidad provides approximately 12 % of liquid milk consumption. If dairy production is to be promoted and developed in this country then appropriate technology must be disseminated to the producer. It has been recognised that many of the methods used in agriculture today cannot be sustained. Discusses some aspects of the work of the Sugarcane Feeds Centre which has identified and/or underlined appropriate technology for sustainable dairy production.
