In compliance with legal obligations, 3,416 samples of blood serums of cattle from 45 herds in the region of Vojvodina (Yugoslavia) were examined for the presence of specific antibodies to the bovine herpesvirus-1 (BHV-1; IBR/IPV) using the microneutralization test in 1992 and 1993. Neutralizing antibodies to this virus were established in 2,321 serum samples (67.94). The established values for the antibody titer ranged from 1:2 to 1:64. The percentage of seropositive head per herd varied from 0-90. No neutralizing antibodies to this virus were found in blood serum samples in cattle from 6 herds (13.32).
