The paper deals with the effect of polluted watering water on the total number of microorganisms and number of azotobacter cells in alluvium and smonitza under wheat. The chemical analysis of watering water shows the presence of toxic substances. The content of these substances is mainly above the maximum permissible concentration for the water category recommended for watering. Watering water caused the decrease of the total number of microorganisms and number of azotobacter cells, although their number increased in wheat vegetation. There were more investigated microorganisms in alluvium than in smonitza.
