The paper examined the nutritive value of bone flour "Pikos" in the diet of weaned piglets. The objective of the research was to substitute imported dicalcium phosphate with bone flour produced under special procedure in a large abattoir, in fodder mixes for diets of piglets with a body mass from 7-15 kg and from 15-25 kg. It was established that "Pikos" on the average contained 95.30 dry matter, 4.70 water, 60.37 ash, 26.97 protein, 6.70 fat, and 1.26 BEM, as well as 24.00 calcium, 11.64 phosphorus, 0.68 lysine, 0.24 methionine, and 0.49 triptophane. The group of piglets which were fed with the fodder mix containing bone flour instead of dicalcium phosphate achieved a 2.68 higher daily growth and a 4.27 bigger body mass gain, but without statistical significance, and 4.39 lower feed conversion.
