Studies of Fluvalinate and Amitraz efficiency in control of Varroa jacobsoni

The efficiency of Fluvalinate was examined in the therapy of varroasis in bees in eight hives in two bee farms and Amitraz in three hives of the same farms. During the late winter treatment with Fluvalinate, in four hives the total number of dead varroa was on the average 135.0 (66-234) varroa per hive, while the number for the autumn treatment was on the average 140.75 (79-216) varroa per hive. Following treatment with Amitraz in the late winter period, the total number of dead varroa was on the average 65.0 (13-113) varroa per hive.
