Application of magnetic treatment of bottle washing water in the Pancevo brewery [Yugoslavia]

The Pancevo Brewery (Yugoslavia) introduced magnetic water treatment in order to solve the problems of scale layers formation in bottle washers, descaling chemicals consumption and accompanying increased corrosion. Operations of two bottle washers were equally observed. One of them used magnetically treated water and the other used raw water. The following facts were established: (1) scale layers were considerably smaller in a bottle washer using magnetically treated water and (2) washing agent consumption was lower in that bottle washer. On the basis of the above mentioned, application of magnetic treatment of bottle washing water can be recommended in practice.
