In 1990 and 1991 investigations were carried out in celeriac, scorzonera and carrots. Different quantities of water have been tested namely : 1000, 500 and 100 l/ha, while the dose of fungicide was constant. At the present degree of infestation it was impossible to obtain significant differences in efficiency, except for the control of Erysiphe in scorzonera. The yield, the quality and the influence on the crop characteristics were not significantly different for the tested volumes of water. Influence on the residue content in carrots was not detected.
