A study of potassium iodide and L-thyroxin curative effect in cases of kid thyroid gland hypertrophy

The experiment included 16 kids with thyroid gland hypertrophy. The experimental group was treated by taking 130.8 mg potassium iodide. In the experimental group the content of the triodine-thyronine and tyroxine, protein bound iodine and vitamin A increased with the prolongation of the time from the beginning of the therapy, while the content of total cholesterol, triglycerhides and thyreostimulating hormone was reduced.
