Spraying 20 ppm gibberellin and 15 or 25 ppm 2,4-D at or before colour break reduced fruit drop and water spot in Clementine mandarins, but was not always effective on Arakapas mandarin. Water spot was more severe with high rainfall in November and December and when temperature in January and February was below average.
