1997
Abalu, G.I. (United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, Addis Abeba (Ethiopia))
It has been estimated that agriculture will have to grow at a rate of not less than 4 percent per annum in the coming 10 to 15 years, to attain and maintain food security in Sub-Saharan Africa. This paper attempts to identify the critical food and agriculture issues that should be addressed and to point out future policy orientations that will guarantee the achievement and maintenance of this target.
