Efficacy of doramectin against gastrointestinal nematodes by the fecal examination in grazing cattle on a pasture

A group of 20 cattle on a pasture were given a single subcutaneous injection of doramectin (200 mu-g/kg), and fecal nematode eggs were counted before treatment and at 7, 14 and 21 days post-treatment. The mean numbers of fecal nematode eggs of Trichuris discolor, Capillaria bovis, Bunostomum phlebotomum, Mecistocirrus digitatus and other unidentified Trichostrongylidae in treated groups were significantly (P0.001) decreased on post-treatment day 7 or later as compared to those of the control group (n
