[The structure of automobile fleet in Latvia]

In order to organize automobile service enterprises in Latvia it is necessary to know the number of automobiles and the structure of their fleet in this country. In the given research the statistic data concerning the number of registered automobiles and the structure of the fleet have been analysed. The analysis shows that the maximum of registered trucks was reached in 1994. Beginning with 1996 their number has been decreasing; 73 of automobiles are over 10 years old and have to be replaced. The number and types of registered automobiles as well as the popularity of models in different years are presented in tables.
